Dancehall artiste Rickey Teetz, fresh off a successful onstage stint at GT Taylor’s Xtravaganza, is looking to amp up promotion on his latest single, ‘Dolla’. Released on the Show Di Vibes label in December 2017, the artiste plans to shoot a video for the project later this month.

“The early feedback has been excellent, people like theme of being successful and making money in 2018, despite our background or economic situation. The song has popped up on several street mixtapes such as DJ Dotcom and DJ Don Kingston, so that is a great sign so far that’s why I am pushing ahead to shoot the video this month,” he said.

Last year, Rickey Teetz performed on a slew of events such as Jerk Fest, the Orange Dancehall Queen show and Crab Fest, all in St James. In 2018, he is seeking to expand his sphere of influence by performing on more shows outside of his native St James.

“I have a really great following in Mobay, St. James, but I have never performed in Portland or St. Thomas and I am want to broaden my reach into other areas of Jamaica, especially the eastern and central parishes, so I am going to push the envelope in 2018,” he said.

He is booked to perform on a show dubbed ‘Melanie Birthday Bash’ in Adelphi, St. James, and is also booked for a show called ‘Full Force’ in Falmouth, Trelawny on January 20th. On Christmas Day, he did well on the GT Taylor Xtravaganza show where he earned forwards for songs such as ‘Physically’, ‘Lighters Up’ and ‘Real Link’.

Known for his street-hustler anthems and fashion swag, Teetz emerged as one of the second promising tier of dancehall prospects in the industry in 2017. One of his singles, ‘Tip Yuh’, generated more than a million hits on YouTube, and led to a booking and performance in Trinidad during the summer of 2017.
